Level 2 - Skills are performed with an instructor. Students will be introduced to many skills such as entering and exiting the pool, floating front and back, coordinating arm and leg movements and proper breathing techniques.
Level 3 – Skills are performed with some assistance with instructors. They must be able to submerge face in water and have passed level 2. They will be building upon skills learned in level 2 and safety techniques. Skills learned will be front and back crawl, sidestroke and elementary backstroke.
Level 4 – In this class swimmers will have little assistance from instructors. Must have passed level 3. Students will work on stroke development and will be in the deep end of the pool. Strokes will be practiced across the width of the pool to improve strength and technique. Treading water is also introduced.
Level 5 – This level works on stroke improvement, students should have already mastered the basic strokes. Must have passed level 4. Introductory diving skills, water safety and butterfly will be demonstrated.
Level 6 – This level works on stroke refinement. Must have passed level 5. Swimmers will be able to perform strokes down the length of the pool. Lap swimming is practiced and will work to improve diving.
